Brigitte Niedermair (Merano, 1971) vit à Merano et travaille entre Paris, Milan, Londres et New York. Elle réalise des photographies depuis plus de vingt ans, entre recherche artistique indépendante et création d'images de mode. Depuis les années 1990, ses projets sont centrés sur la signification de l'identité, l'effet de la représentation du corps féminin et le rôle du spectateur. Plus généralement, l'approche photographique de Niedermair est une exploration constante du temps et de la mémoire qui se reflète dans les langages de l'histoire de l'art.
Son travail a été montré internationalement, avec des expositions monographiques telles que Screenshot (avec Martino Gamper), One Poultry ⁄ Wallpaper*, Londres (2017) ; Transition, Palazzo Borromeo, Milan (2017) ; Eccehomo, Castel Tirolo (2018) ; Me and Fashion, Museo di Palazzo Mocenigo Venezia (2019).

Brigitte Niedermair (Merano, 1971) lives in Merano and works between Paris, Milan, London, and New York. She has been taking photographs for over twenty years, combining independent artistic research with fashion photography. Since the 1990s, her projects have focused on the meaning of identity, the effect of the representation of the female body, and the role of the viewer. More generally, Niedermair's photographic approach is a constant exploration of time and memory, reflected in the languages of art history.
