Cette exposition, présentée en octobre 2025 à la Galerie Jacques Bailly, en collaboration avec la Galerie By Lara Sedbon, est l’occasion insolite de confronter un artiste vivant au travail du peintre André Masson (1896-1987).
Force est de constater que l’étude de la série à l’encre de chine nourrit en profondeur l’approche de Léonard Combier. Fasciné par le surréalisme depuis toujours, il se plait à mêler, avec une maitrise technique sans précédent, éléments organiques, références anatomiques et points de vue géométriques.
L’œuvre citée plus haut s’accompagne de plusieurs petits formats sur papier en noir et blanc en dialogue direct avec la série de Masson découverte par Léonard Combier à la Galerie Jacques Bailly.
